INSTALLATIONS THAT WE SUPPORT
cPanel, LLC created the cPanel web hosting control panel programme. It offers a graphical user interface (GUI) and automation tools to the website owner or “end user” to make the process of hosting a web site easier. It has a three-tier framework that allows administration through a regular web browser. Unlike cPanel, which can only manage a single hosting account, cPanel & WHM can manage the entire server.
In addition to the graphical user interface, cPanel offers command line and API access, allowing third-party software providers, web hosting companies, and developers to automate standard system administration tasks. cPanel & WHM can be used as in a dedicated server or as in a virtual private server (VPS). The most recent version of cPanel & WHM is compatible with CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and CloudLinux OS.
WHM stands for WebHost Manager, and it is a web-based server management tool. There are at least two tiers of WHM: “root WHM” and “non-root WHM” (or Reseller WHM). Database administrators use root WHM, while others, such as entity divisions and resellers, use non-root WHM (which has less privileges) to handle hosting accounts, also known as cPanel accounts, on a web server. WHM can also be used to manage SSL certificates (both server-generated and CA-provided SSL certificates), cPanel users, hosting packages, DNS zones, themes, and authentication methods.
